A Breeder's Eye for Excellence
For more than 30 years, Frazer Hendrick built her reputation in the world of thoroughbred horses. Her eye for conformation, her understanding of bloodlines, and her commitment to exceptional care produced champion after champion.
Seven years ago, Frazer discovered alpacas. What began as a fascination quickly became a passion. She recognized in these remarkable animals the same qualities that drew her to thoroughbreds: the importance of lineage, the beauty of exceptional fiber, and the quiet dignity of a well-bred animal.
From Thoroughbreds to Alpacas
The skills that produce champion horses translate remarkably well to alpaca breeding. Understanding genetic pairing, recognizing superior conformation, and maintaining meticulous health records — these aren't just horse skills, they're breeder skills. And Frazer brought every one of them to her alpaca program.
Today, the herd is small by design — handpicked from two of the country's most respected color programs. The harlequin and silver grey lines of Kuska Paku Farm. The appaloosa Apache bloodline of Rare Gem Alpacas. Animals chosen not just for color, but for fleece quality, conformation, and temperament.

Tucked into the rolling hills of Northern Virginia, our farm sits on the kind of land that alpacas dream about — if alpacas dream, which, judging by their expressions, is entirely possible. Expansive pastures, gentle slopes, and enough room for every alpaca to find their favorite spot.
Haymarket's temperate climate and lush Virginia grasslands provide an ideal environment for raising healthy, happy alpacas. We're conveniently located in the heart of Northern Virginia, easily accessible from Washington D.C., Fairfax, Loudoun County, and the surrounding region.
