Our alpacas enjoy an extraordinary amount of room to roam. The rolling hills of Haymarket, Virginia provide natural terrain variation that keeps our herd active, healthy, and engaged. Rotational pasture management ensures fresh, nutrient-rich grazing throughout the seasons.
Purpose-built shelters provide protection from weather while maintaining the open-air lifestyle that alpacas thrive in. Every detail of our property is designed with alpaca welfare as the first priority.
Premium Nutrition
Every alpaca at Frazer's Stable receives the highest quality diet, carefully formulated to support optimal fiber production, reproductive health, and overall vitality. Our nutrition program includes premium orchard grass hay, specialized alpaca grain, and carefully balanced mineral supplements.
We work closely with an equine and camelid nutritionist to tailor feeding programs to individual animals — because a growing cria, a nursing dam, and a working herdsire all have different needs. No one-size-fits-all approach here.
Veterinary Care
Our alpacas receive scheduled, comprehensive veterinary care from specialists experienced in camelid medicine. Regular health checks, up-to-date vaccinations, parasite management, and dental care are all part of our standard program.
Every animal comes with complete health records, and we maintain detailed documentation of vaccinations, deworming schedules, and any veterinary interventions. When you purchase an alpaca from Frazer's Stable, you receive a complete health history.
Breeding Excellence
Every breeding at Frazer's Stable is a carefully considered pairing. With 20+ years of experience reading bloodlines and understanding genetics from thoroughbred breeding, Frazer applies the same rigor to every alpaca cross. The goal is always the same: improve fiber quality, maintain health, and produce the next generation of champions.
Our herd represents some of the finest genetics available in the mid-Atlantic region, with imported Peruvian and Chilean bloodlines that have produced consistent blue ribbon winners in regional and national shows.
